Am I too old for this?
It’s one of the most common questions we hear, and it deserves a real answer.
No. You’re not. Not even close.
You’re in Good Company
At PCLC, we work with adults of all ages. Our learners are parents and grandparents, full-time workers and job-seekers, people in their twenties and people in their sixties. What they all share isn’t an age, it’s a goal.
Some want to earn their GED. Some want to get a better job. Some are learning English so they can speak up at work or understand their child’s teacher.
The reasons are as different as the people. But the starting point is always the same: a decision to take one step forward.
Life Doesn’t Wait for a “Good Time”
If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to focus on yourself, we understand. Life is busy. There are jobs, kids, bills, and a hundred other things that seem to come first.
But here’s what we’ve seen, time and time again: there’s no age at which learning stops being worth it. A high school equivalency credential opens doors to better jobs. Stronger reading skills change how you move through every single day. Learning English shifts what feels possible — at work, at home, and in your community.
These aren’t small things. And you’re never too old for them to matter.
What PCLC Actually Looks Like
PCLC isn’t a traditional classroom full of teenagers. There are no bells, no pressure, no embarrassing moments in front of younger students.
Our programs are designed for adults, taught by caring instructors who understand the realities of adult life. We work around your schedule. We move at your pace. And everything you share with us is completely confidential. What you’re working on stays between you and your instructor.
There’s no judgment here. The only thing we’re focused on is helping you reach your goals.
The Hardest Part Is the First Step
Reaching out isn’t easy. We know that. For many people, picking up the phone or sending that first message takes more courage than any test they’ll ever take.
But every person who has walked through our door will tell you the same thing: they wish they had done it sooner.
It’s not too late. It’s never too late.
