Perry County Literacy Council to Host Its Final Chili Cook-Off at Perry County Fair

Jun 25, 2024

Newport, PA, June 25, 2024 – The Perry County Literacy Council (PCLC) is excited to announce the grand finale of their annual Chili Cook-Off fundraiser, set to take place on Saturday, August 17th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Perry County Fair. This marks the 20th and final year of our beloved cook-off, and we aim to make it the biggest and best one yet with a fundraising goal of $5,000 to support our programs in Perry County.

The event promises a day of fun, flavor, and friendly competition. We are calling on all chili enthusiasts—individuals, companies, and teams—to participate and showcase their chili-making skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure for your culinary talents or your business while contributing to a great cause.

The Future of the Chili Cook-Off

Please note: This year will be Perry County Literacy Council’s LAST YEAR participating in the Chili Cook-Off at the Perry County Fair, but it doesn’t have to mean the end of the event. If you know of another nonprofit that could benefit from this fantastic opportunity, please have them contact Martha Ebersole at 717-580-6753. If you would still like to remain a part of the chili cook-off, let Martha know so that the new nonprofit can contact you.
